snowtide memories

16 February 2010

snowflakes fall in forest groves
nemetons of ice and snow
where neither moon nor star shine;
and so I sit at last to dine
upon a meagre evening repast
reflecting upon these past
few years, winters full of fears,
and cold, frozen, hateful tears
pile like those snowflakes
in the hollows of pagan hallows.

    Hmm… I like the mood of this one. Repentant, but still seeing beauty in the midst of the regret.

    Thank you both for the comments. I like to think this one is somber but sincere.
