This piece was inspired by Phoenix-KaRenee’s poem “Poetry is Shorter.”

great carven gems of meaning
the hoard of dwarrow-dwellers
and the joy of word-smiths
like the Arkenstone to old Thorin
but greater a treasure, even,
to the mind of the poet
who by poets shall be revealed–
and in those sealed letters, fixed
forever together, like Roman bricks
eternity flows in shifting patterns
of sound and breath, of truth and being
