9 July 2010

silent solemn serenity
the unenviable task
where weighted measures
the millstones and the masques
give one enough rope
and the hangman is unemployed
because we routinely deploy
deception, disguise, deceit
the city sits upon a tall mountain
impregnable; but for small weaknesses
in the facade, there whole armies
trod in marches, forced,
and nothing of sanity remains.

the stains and the grime will not come clean
the madness removes itself…

…and will not be seen.

Politics…of the internal sort, I suppose. I know it’s been a few days since I’ve posted (ok, more than a few…), but there have been extended circumstances that required me to be away from the digital world. I hope all is well with you.

Like Karen, I’ve been checking. And you returned with a good one.
